You’re invited to the 2019 WSIS Annual Meeting (Aug. 9/19)

If you would like to learn more about how Nova Scotia’s Workplace Safety and Insurance System (WSIS) supports improved injury prevention and return to work outcomes, join us for the Annual Meeting, coming up at Pier 21 in Kenneth C. Rowe Hall on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019.

Co-hosted by Rodney Burgar, Chair of WCB Nova Scotia Board of Directors, and Duff Montgomerie, Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education, the Annual Meeting will share the System’s performance and progress in 2018.

Our guest speaker this year is John Garth MacDonald, an Advanced Care Paramedic from Antigonish who was diagnosed with PTSD after twenty years on the job.

 Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with all of the System partners.

The event will begin with a welcome reception at 9:00 a.m.. The System partners and several Safety Associations will be on hand to offer information and conversation at booths set up around the perimeter of Kenneth C. Rowe Hall. The formal meeting will begin at 9:30am.
