About

John started his career with Scott Paper Maritimes Ltd., before making the move to Michelin Tire (Canada) Ltd., where he spent most of his working career.

With over 30 years of experience in the consulting industry, John is an occupational health and safety expert specializing in worker relations and industrial engineering.

John’s consulting work has seen him make connections with all levels of an organization. His coaching aims to improve employee involvement and increase the effectiveness of complex systems with practical approaches.

“Occupational Health and Safety has been my passion for decades.  Continuing with the same approach year after year has not produced, from my standpoint, the desired results. We have to develop a "Positive Workplace Culture”, with everyone in our organizations taking ownership and responsibility, first and foremost, for their own health and safety and then for the wellbeing of others. That’s my passion, and why I’m excited for this opportunity to serve on the WCB Board and to help make a difference.”
