New Chair Announced for Worker's Compensation Board of Nova Scotia


The New Board Chair for the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia was named yesterday by Marilyn More, the Minister of the Department of Labour and Workforce Development.

Appointed by the province, Elaine Sibson is a chartered accountant and former managing partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She brings with her expertise in board management serving as program chair of the Institute of Corporate Directors and as past chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation. The appointment is for a five year term with a possibility of re-appointment.

Chris Power, the Board's acting Chair, will stay on as Deputy Chair.
