On March 6, 2014, the WCB and Department of Labour and Advanced Education, supported by the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, invited fishermen, their families and communities to help form the Safe at Sea Alliance and develop a Fishing Safety Action Plan to reduce fatalities and improve fishing safety in Nova Scotia.
