WCB Nova Scotia welcomes its first Chief Technology Officer (Mar. 1/24)

After an extensive search that attracted interest from within Nova Scotia and across Canada, the WCB is set to welcome Gaëtan Boudreau P.Eng, as its first ever Chief Technology Officer. Gaëtan will join the WCB’s Executive Team starting on April 15th.

“Attracting a leader of Gaëtan’s calibre is a big step forward, and I’m confident he will bring a new and much needed strategic IT vision and perspective that supports our work and the people we serve,” says Karen Adams, CEO, WCB Nova Scotia.

Gaëtan is a seasoned IT Leader with extensive experience leading teams and organizations through transformative technological change. He has served in IT leadership roles at several major national and international businesses and organizations, including Fundserv, CIBC, BCE Emergis (now Telus Health), and the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal.

Gaëtan is joining the WCB from CÉGEP Heritage College, a post-secondary education institution located in Western Québec. As Information and Systems Technology Director and Chief Information Security Officer, Gaëtan was responsible for all aspects of the College’s IT strategy, leading the teams responsible for cyber security and digital transformation.
