About Robert

Robert Patzelt, LL.M., K.C., ICD.D is an executive and former business lawyer. He has over 35 years experience in organizational leadership, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and business development.  He is an award-winning business leader who has levered his degrees in business, economics and his Master of Laws to serve many organizations.  He is a sought-after consultant who helps businesses navigate challenging transitions, as well as assisting organizations with their governance.  He is a former CEO of a publicly traded resource company.

He has been awarded both the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals for his tremendous service to Canada. Robert is a member of the KPI Committee and past-Chair of both the Development and Succession Committee, and Investment Committee overseeing its $2.7 billion portfolio. He serves on advisory boards of private family businesses. He's also the Chair of SwitchPACE. This is a a community interest corporation that provides low-carbon programs for Canadian municipalities that help homeowners and businesses invest in energy efficiency and solar. He was a founding director of GEO (Get Everyone Online) a not-for-profit organization. Their purpose is to remove barriers to digital inclusion through increased access to affordable internet services and devices, and the skills needed to use them well.
