About

A member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia, Rick worked for a decade with a national public accounting firm, before a nearly 20-year tenure at Fred C Morrison Ltd./Bearing Power Canada Limited, as a corporate controller. He then went on to serve for two decades as Vice President of Finance for WearWell Garments Ltd., a Nova Scotia manufacturing company.

Rick has served as treasurer for the Office of the Employer Advisor’s (OEA NS) Board of Directors since 2019. With a strong background in financial management, Rick has also served as treasurer for numerous public organizations and currently sits on several boards and committees in the Pictou County area.

“Having worked in a manufacturing entity for two decades, I know how important workplace safety is to both the employees and the employers; it’s a top priority. In order for the WCB to be sustainable in the future, we need an insurance system that meets the needs of the injured worker and is cost-effective to the employer. My goal is to add value to this endeavour.”
