WCB ramps up focus on return-to-work efforts in Q2 (Oct. 23/24)

With WCB’s new service for gradual onset psychological injury underway, we are turning all efforts toward improving results for workers and employers when it comes to supporting return to work (RTW) after a workplace injury has occurred.

Supporting RTW is a key component of the WCB's Protect More Strategic Plan 2024 - 2030. When we accomplish the goals in that plan, it will return more than a quarter of a million days to the workforce that are currently lost due to injury. That's like 1,000 nurses, carpenters, or home care providers working full time for an entire year.

We cannot do it alone. Workers, employers and health service providers all have a role to play.
