Atlantic Canada's largest gathering of workplace health and safety presenters and professionals is back in 2024. The annual Atlantic Workplace Health and Safety Conference will be hosted in Halifax at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel from March 20 to 22.

The WCB's CEO, Karen Adams, will offer remarks as part of the conference's official opening on March 21. As a signature sponsor for the conference alongside the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI), WCB Nova Scotia will also deliver two breakout sessions and host an exhibitor booth.

LSI's Michelle Thomason, Director, Occupational Health and Safety, Branch, will share key themes related to workplace harassment in Nova Scotia.

The WCB's Lynette Fenton, Director of Psychological Injury, will talk about how the WCB is preparing to support Nova Scotians in this important space, including establishing a dedicated service delivery team, a comprehensive training program, new health service agreements, and innovative approaches that support psychological injury recovery and return to work as early as possible in the WCB claim journey.
