About

Jenna Brookfield is a National Representative for CUPE in the Atlantic Region.

Jenna joined CUPE in 2012 as the Atlantic Region’s Health and Safety Representative and has since worked with CUPE members, locals, and divisions in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador to address health and safety issues and advocate for workplace safety.

Jenna has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for AWARE-NS from 2016 – 2020 and currently serves on the Board of Governors at the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety.

Prior to joining CUPE, Jenna worked for the federal government as a Labour Affairs Officer where she focused on administering the Canada Labour Code in federally regulated workplaces.

“Every day, working people in Nova Scotia experience preventable workplace injuries that have a profound impact on their lives, workplaces, families, and their communities. The WCB plays a vital role in supporting workplace injury prevention initiatives and ensuring timely medical care and compensation for those who are injured at work. Through my career I have worked to advocate for workplace injury prevention and equality for working Nova Scotians, and I believe that my work with the WCB Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors will enable me to continue this pursuit.”
