Accountability and Compliance

Whether it’s someone receiving benefits when they shouldn’t be, or a workplace avoiding coverage when they should be, those are examples of non-compliance. They hurt the integrity of the system. They cost all of us.

Accountability matters. Under the Workers’ Compensation Act, the WCB may impose fines for non-compliance such as late reporting, or starting in July 2025, failing to cooperate in the return-to-work process.
