About

Tim McInnis has a dedicated history of working to protect the Nova Scotia workforce.

Tim’s career has included 33 years of service to the workers’ compensation system, as a trusted voice to workers, employers, stakeholders, government, and co-workers. Throughout his career, he has worked in the claims and appeals segments of the WCB’s service offerings, most recently as the organization’s Client Relations Officer.

Tim’s career has afforded him insight into workers’ compensation at all levels. As Client Relations Officer, he has seen the system at its best, and, when it has fallen short of what workers and employers deserve. As the WCB continues our new Strategic Plan, this insight and experience will be invaluable.

A passionate volunteer, Tim dedicates his time to a number of local charitable causes. He has also served as a minor sports coach, and as a mediator with the Community Justice Society for young offenders and victims.

“The work we do at the WCB plays an important role in the lives of workers and employers, and I’ve seen that value first hand. There is opportunity to improve that contribution to Nova Scotians. As I return to the WCB in a governance capacity, I am looking forward to continuing to do my part to create a stronger organization, and a stronger province.”
