Potential interruption to postal service (May 23/25)

We’re committed to taking every reasonable step to minimize disruption caused by a potential interruption to postal service. Our top priority is to ensure workers continue to receive their benefits.

What workers need to know

Signing up for WCB Online and direct deposit are the best and most efficient ways to ensure there is no disruption in payment. Direct deposit is a fast, secure method to receive your benefits. Join the thousands of Nova Scotians who have already signed up to receive direct deposit, ensuring their payments are never delayed.

To get started, sign up for WCB Online. Once online, you can sign up for direct deposit, communicate with us securely, and monitor your claim status conveniently from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

What employers need to know

Employers can avoid mail delays by joining the thousands of others who use WCB’s secure business portal, MyAccount, to track claims, view rate assessments, account statements, and clearance status, or report payroll and submit injury reports. Employers can also use CRAs My Payment to report payroll, view balances, and pay online.

During the postal disruption, Remittance Vouchers will not be mailed. Employers who report their payroll using Remittance Vouchers are encouraged to report their payroll via MyAccount or CRA’s My Payment.
