This morning, our Chief Engagement Officer Shelly Dauphinee joined safety partners at Province House to stand with families of those who who have died or been seriously injured because of their work. Each year on April 28, we recognize the Day of Mourning and reflect on the importance of workplace safety.
“Families who have experienced loss trust us with something extraordinary – they ask us to take their grief and turn it into action so no one else has to live their story,” said Shelly. “As decision makers, leaders, supervisors and colleagues, we can all choose – through our actions and decisions – to be the reason someone else goes home safely.”
Behind every workplace tragedy is a family and community forever changed. Thank you to those who continue to share their stories and remind us why a single loss is one too many.
