Drowning Prevention Week July 19 to 25

July 19th to 25th is National Drowning Prevention Week in Nova Scotia.

Drowning is the third-leading cause of unintentional deaths for Canadians under the age of 60.

There were eight work-related drowning fatalities in 2008.
