Introducing WCB’s New Website (Oct. 7/25)

WCB Nova Scotia has launched its new corporate website, marking an important step forward in how we deliver information and services to workers, employers, and partners.

The new site is designed with Nova Scotians in mind: clean, simple, and easier to use. It provides a fresh digital experience and a stronger first impression for anyone looking for information about workplace injury, return to work, prevention, and the workers’ compensation system.

A user-first approach

This launch builds on feedback from workers, employers, and partners who tested the site in the summer and fall. Their input helped shape the site’s structure, navigation, and language, making it more intuitive and accessible. The site content and design will continue to evolve and improve over time, guided by user behaviour and ongoing feedback.

The site also supports recommendations from the 2024 System Review, which called for information and services to be streamlined and centralized. Over the coming months, additional content will be added as we bring together information from our former websites (legacy.wcb.ns.ca) and (worksafeforlife.ca) into a single, one-stop hub for workplace insurance, recovery, and prevention.

Website features

  • Improved employer registration form – with a step-by-step progress bar, simpler language, and built-in tools to make the process easier.
  • New resource hub – a space for workplace insurance, return-to-work, and prevention content.
  • Accessibility for all Nova Scotians –  ensuring the site is usable by everyone.

What’s next

By the end of 2025, our old corporate website and worksafeforlife.ca will be retired, with all content available in one place. For now, legacy content remains accessible at legacy.wcb.ns.ca as we complete the transition.

This website is an exciting milestone in our ongoing service transformation. The site will continue to evolve, shaped by the people who use it most–Nova Scotians. Explore the new site today.
