WCB October Performance (Nov. 7/25)

In September, we reached a milestone – our lowest number of time-loss days paid ever. In October, we went even further, dropping from 238 to 234 time loss days per 100 covered workers.

We're also seeing that fewer people are permanently injured – which for us, is the true sign of progress. That's more Nova Scotians who are able to safely recover and return to work, getting back to their lives and doing what they love.

“October showed us the lowest number of workers moving to long-term benefits since legislative changes took effect,” says Godfrey Jerry, Chief Operating Officer. “That’s significant progress. For years, we’ve known that while Nova Scotia had fewer time-loss claims than most jurisdictions, those who were injured tended to stay on claim longer. We’re changing that story – helping more people recover and return to work sooner.”
