WCB Launches a New Network of Health Care Providers

As of January 2, people recovering from workplace injuries are receiving faster, more coordinated, and consistent care thanks to a new network of health care providers across the province.

The new network includes 119 providers, with one available within 40 km of 99 per cent of Nova Scotians. The network continues to grow, and providers can join at any time.

To deliver care for physical and psychological injuries related to WCB claims, health care providers must be part of the network – ensuring consistent standards, accountability, and a stronger focus on recovery and return to work.

Prior to this change, injured workers could wait up to 25 days for concussion treatment and up to 42 days for psychological treatment. With the new network in place, people like paramedics, nurses, and other injured workers will get the care they need sooner.
