WCB Nova Scotia reports strong second year of progress toward 2030 goals

WCB Nova Scotia has released its 2025 Strategic Plan Progress Report, marking the second year of its Protect More Strategic Plan 2024–2030.

The annual progress report provides a snapshot of how WCB is tracking towards its 2030 goals and the impact of this work across Nova Scotia.

The report highlights continued momentum across all key measures, reflecting a focused effort to improve outcomes for workers, employers, and the province’s workforce.

In 2025, Nova Scotia recorded the lowest workplace injury rate ever. And, when workers are injured on the job, we are getting them support faster, helping more people return to work safely and sooner.

Highlights include:

🔽 1.21 covered workers per 100, our lowest injury rate, ever.
🔽 226 days lost from work due to injury per 100 workers, down 13% from 259 days in 2023
🔼 75% of Nova Scotians indicate we’re an inclusive organization, close to our 2030 goal of 80%
🔼 78% of those we serve agree we provide efficient service, close to our 2030 goal of 80%

Results like these would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of WCB employees who are committed to making a difference for those we serve, every day.

These results are driven by stronger collaboration across the system and a clear focus on accountability - for workers, employers, service providers, and WCB itself.
