We use direct deposit so you can receive your benefits quickly and securely. This includes regular monthly long-term benefits, temporary benefits, medical aid and travel expenses.
Signing up is easy.
Follow these simple steps:
- Visit wcb.ns.ca/wcbonline and click on the “sign up” button to create a WCB Online account. If you already have an account, simply log in and go to Step 3.
- To sign up, you’ll need your claim number, health card number, date of birth, and an email address. Follow the steps to confirm your account and save your profile.
- To register for direct deposit, select "Forms and Letters" in your WCB Online account and choose "Direct Deposit" from the list of new forms.
- Fill in the direct deposit details for your financial institution and click “submit.”

Updated timing for direct deposit payments
We've moved to a new financial solution to better serve workers, employers, and suppliers. As a result, the timing for when you receive your WCB payment will change. In most cases, your WCB payment will arrive on the same day, but about 12 hours later. For example, if your payment usually appears around midnight, it will now show up by midday.
If your payment is typically processed on a Friday or the day before a holiday, funds will appear in your account on the next business day following the weekend or holiday period. As a reminder, once payments are processed, it can take up to three business days for funds to be deposited into your account, depending on your banking institution.
