Dennita Fitzpatrick Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Dennita Fitzpatrick leads the WCB’s Service Delivery and Service Excellence teams, supporting workers and employers to reduce the impact of workplace injury through exceptional service to help them achieve safe and timely return to work.

During her 20+ years with WCB Nova Scotia, Dennita has demonstrated her passion for collaboration and strategic thinking in a wide range of positions at the senior leadership level. Dennita served most recently as Vice President of Prevention and Return to Work, and her WCB career includes director portfolios in Service Excellence, Health and Extended Benefits, and Business Transformation. Her breadth of experience at the WCB gives her a comprehensive understanding of the business and how to turn the vision of our new Strategic Plan into tangible results. 

Prior to joining WCB Nova Scotia, Dennita had a progressive 18-year career in private industry information technology and consulting services.
